December Disaters

Ooh, I’ve just realized I’ve not blogged for a while, it’s been a very busy December with work, weather and living not in the same place; here’s the anecdote

Birthday happened so was pretty merry and drunk of course, but a long with that, I’ve had to crash round friends placed as the bathroom was getting refurbished redone so needed a place to shower hair started getting quite greasy & brushing teeth in the kitchen made the neighbors have an interesting sight! Pretty much sucked, so usual routines had to change

Next off was week before Christmas, the other garment tech took off for Christmas holiday, so I had to man the fort >.<” It was very very tough and  stressful as there was so much to do getting everything sorted before Christmas, last minute fast orders sigh so much in the multitasking departments that I had to stay in the office till about 7pm to finish things

Well mainly work caused me to get the most stressed; factories in China pressuring to get things approved and get graded specs from me; because they want to get everything finished off before Chinese New Year as the factories close for 2weeks; a big impact on suppliers trying to maintain deadlines.

Then of course the weather caused an impact on me feeling quite pessimistic for Christmas, worrying about Dad’s Flight back to UK from HK and was rescheduled for the next day & he took some quite lucky turns. But as he came back home, Mum’s got this really bad lurgy causing her to cough really badly * sigh* so original plan of going to Midlands cancelled.

The question was – where should I spend my Xmas?? Had a ticket from London to Stafford & I also have a ticket for Exeter to London as original plan was going to be train to Midlands, car to Devon and Train back to London for NYE.

In the end chose Devon with the folks and hitched a lift with my Brother & Sister-in-law as hey were spending Xmas there, so good came out of things. I’m chilling out and completely slowed my pace down, feeling lost in the greenery/snow!

Hardware accessories

I am noticing the trend of hardware accessories. Not understanding what I mean?
Check out my pics!

Boxy hard waring Leather accessories, very vintage looking and quirky! I saw my friends bag from Urban Outfitters cost her a Tenner, what a bargain!

As it's also the Season of Christmas, a lot of the German markets are selling these quirky hard leather lockets in different shapes sizes and colours; however I brought mine when I was over in Budapest

What I really like about these style accessories is of course that they're pretty unique hard and heavy duty, won't get excessively battered compared to the usual bag! ^.^

Excuse the quality of the photos, new camera phone's quality isn't the best since it doesn't have a flash! So art of photoshop is used instead! haha!

The Quarter Life Crisis begins....

Well the morning of the thing called my Quarter life crisis started swimmingly..... leaving the station to the office, I slipped & fell on my arse..... Great start (!) I blame the slippery floors over my All Saints boots I usually wear a lot!!

Half day in the office and was a kid in the candy shop over the Nicholas Kirkwood sample sale in Swarovski in Central; excited over the many shoes prancing around the floor deciding which ones I likes, were my size & in my budget!

Fell in love.... with these gnarly F**ckers!!!

Spring Summer 2010's for New York's Rodarte collection heavy duty full of awesomeness such a fantasy shoe!!!! -^.^- I just <3 the details!!!

Flaw..... £400 in the sample sale! OK so RRP these would definitely have been on the £1000s zone overall over budget

Next found a pair of cute cut out shoe boots!

Quite the cute shoe. Very Acne style, but of course Kirkwoods as they're architectural! ^.^

Perfect for both evenings and everyday wear outs! Awesome saw the price code £150!! Seeing the sales Assistant, killed me saying they were £200 ( PK!!)

I really wanted these they're hot! Minus the ones above, so I talked to the woman in charge of sales asking to meet me in the middle & of course it's my b'day. So she agreed to sell them @ £175 to me! (^.^)

That's pretty much my years budget on sample sale shopping all gone! But on the good side I've kept away until today....

I did pick up a bargain! These shoes RRP £594, bargain investment, but it does mean these are my most expensive shoes in my collection

I'm a shoe nut

Very British of Britons

Well it's now December, Winter has definitely arrived to Capital and earlier than usual

It's interesting how Britons take pleasure in discussing the weather and they like to complain about it. True that it's a good ice breaker in the small talk department, and it is true that UK's weather is unpredictable; when it's sunny people love it or think it's just too hot, rainy too much water everyone gets soaked UK's know to have a lot of rain anyway especially up North- as one of my best friends winges about it to me pretty often

Now Britain has snow! The kids love it, adults are a bit of both but will still complain. The snow is a bit blown out of proportion, as discussing with friends over lunch today; London is very unprepared for these turns in weather conditions. Even in a city like New York, every year they get a fair bit of snow and they are able to handle it, public transport still runs even though at a slower pace but still running. Unlike the joys of the tube - Suspended, severe delays, opportunities in me claiming tube refunds by being late (though only managed to claim once)

Understandable for people these sudden weather conditions take affect to the everyday needs - shit happens

One of my friends even brought 6x bags of rock salt for the pavements of his home & shop, our friend even suggested using kitty litter as a substitute! That's just coaxing cats to come do their business around there! hahaha!

I think I've gone off track..... The weather's effecting me!

A bit of Dim Sum Cookery

So I saw this event that was happening at this Ming Ai Institute based up in North London's Bounds Green; 1hour mission for me from the other end of London.... But I was quite surprised that it's quite a place. Not only they have classes of computing, languages and arts, perfect for those willing to learn. There was even quite a big kitchen for cookery classes, which is what I decided to attend!!

So we were being taught how to make 3 appetiser/dumping things, Sui Mai, Dumplings and Spring Rolls (originally was going to be tofu rolls but they ran out of tofu skin -.-")

I was actually not surprised in knowing quite a few of the people who attended the event, I knew 3other people excluding my friends I already knew who were coming! The organiser knew me from a past Chinese event.... I didn't remember, as it was in a bar, dark loud music & happy hour = me getting a bit merry.

Over to the cooking, i was quite surprised there was quite a big turn out; the organiser said I got lucky being the last one selected for the event (yay me!) also admired my passion for cooking ^.^

1st up was the sui mai made out of prawns and chicken, which was interesting as usually it's with pork; I think we were even the loudest table as we kept joking about whilst attempting to chop the meats, Alan blamed the blunt knife & wanted the pro chef's cleaver! (health and safety!) When Kuan was mixing the filling together was quite funny as he used both hands in a small bowl. Looked like he was more like massaging the filling! We ended up making some pretty big sui mai dumplings, tasted pretty good but lacked shitake mushrooms for that extra something!

Next up was dumpling.... I already know how to make this.... but one thing was good was seeing the head Chef show how to roll out the individual skins which I felt was a very handy tip, saving keeping the centre a bit thicker so the filling doesn't split, I even taught someone how to wrap the dumpling a bit neater (yay pro me! ^.^ )

Last was Spring rolls quite easy, I always felt it was difficult to wrap it, but its because I usually do Vietnamese summer rolls and over load the filling (-.-")

Overall I enjoyed this class had good company & good food; though I already knew how to make 2/3 of the dishes - next I want to know how to make Chinese desserts!!!!

Designer X High Street Collaboration

It's seriously crazy! Online Lanvin X H&M was sold out @ 10am! in stores, people were Queuing since 10pm last night to get their mitts on it. A friend's colllegue spent £600 on the stuff..... Sucks for me working East, envious of those who work in Central >.< I would of joined the crazy crowd!

What's going to be even crazier is Saturday's Release; Valentino X Gap. Only a few stores are selling it, Milan, DSM and only London's Flagship store on Ox Street with only 4000 units which is pretty much nothing.

I will admit the capsule collection looks quite interesting, femine with an urban twist.... I would join this crazy crowd, but I'm goin to a Dim Sum making class instead! HAAHHHAAA

The Humour of Work

Usually the office needs to be serious and kept professional; but days there has to be jokes, Hayley our office jnr/ Fit model saying very niave & blonde comments to lighten up the mood, and the occasional swearing and threats to factories; pretty normal. I would say the foul language has been influeced by my boss who constantly F*s and Jeff at the factories pretty often.

One of the designers cracked me up with an e-mail for one of our Merchandisers in China to keep an eye on one of the factories we're working with; to stand over the workers with a big stick until they get the sampling correct, So I decided to share this fun pic!

Something fishy

Ok from the sound of the title I've given this post may sound very bizarre, but I decided to try out this new beauty treatment that's become the latest trend; the fish pedicure!

I first read about it in an article in the newspaper and I actually saw the tanks in a demo over in Selfridges a few months ago. I then saw the offer on livingsocial so I thought why not give it a try!

So over to Camden I went. As I was looking around in the Camden Lock Market for the unit, I finally found it and outside it was a small crowd of people fascinated by the tanks of small fish! Well in I went in popped my feet in the tank and the school of fish just came at my feet!

These fish in the wild usually are used as a cleaning station for larger fish in the wild eating the dead skin. In the wild I found out that these fish can grow up to 10cm!

The sensation felt very weird at first but was quite a nice comforting sensation. After 30min of my session feet out and they felt pretty soft! Overall I felt 30min was a good session but I did get a bit bored with nothing to do apart from watching the fish do their work! hehe!

But I think a proper pedicure is better, the Fish Pedi I think is more a novelty, compared to a proper pedicure feet done, nails filed & painted at the nail Salon

Measuring things

Whoops, busy me has been pretty busy as per usual doing something...... Really should invest in a smartphone however finding the one I like is more of the challenge

So, I've been driven absolute bonkers this month by one of the customers in Canada we've taken at work, they work in inches only..... this is the 21st Century now, surely people have moved on from Imperial measurments!!

I will admit I do use inches and cm for things but all things like the measurments I do for garments, it's pretty ridiculous! check the example I had to deal with:-

One big ass headache for me, especially when I had to get it converted to cms for the Graded spec >.<" (graded spec is a technical term for creating patterns in the full size range i.e size 8-14)

The biggest throw offs for this were some crazy inch measurments like 34 13/16.... I'm like what the hell?!

To be honest measuring in cm for garments are way more accurate! Only time I do inches are for things like inner legs of trousers, body measurements and height of heels

When I struggled measuring the production samples and looking at their spec.... to many numbers, as we had measurments of both inches and cm. I'm just hoping the customers aren't going to reject our production samples

From London over to Budapest

I can’t believe it’s already been a week since I took my long weekend break over to Hungary’s Capital, feels like I’ve never left the capital! So Thursday evening after work missioned over to my travel buddy’s place in Canary Wharf before we had to wake up 4-5hours later to Luton Airport for our early morning flight with Wizz Air. A name sounds funny; sounds a bit fake but was a genuine airline, just a small company.

Seriously, leaving Canary Wharf at 4.30am who’s happy as Larry that early? I was more slightly grumpy but very witty with my usual humour!

The plane was pretty busy fair few groups; stag dos blokes getting drunk on the plane at 8.30am?! But Wendy & I mainly slept on the plane.

Arriving to Budapest, sun was shining, air was ice cool but refreshing, the sun warmed us up which made it better.

As we put our baggage in the hotel, chilled out and freshened up; we decided to head out and explore the going on in the Pest, Buda is the old side and the other side of the Danube River.

Why even out of the UK there are still men honking their horns at women walking along side the road?! If it was England, late in the evening, I’ve had a few I’ve be lippy & make hand gestures.
Wendy & I were already getting a bit snap happy with the scenery around us, Buildings on the Buda side looked amazing.

Checking out the usual touristy spots, Parliament, St Stephen’s church many other places. The architecture was beautiful, very detailed stone carvings, with a gothic feel.

Taking a visit into Margret Island in the middle of the Danube River was a beautiful escape, it definitely felt like autumn on the island, the leaves of rich shades of burnt orange and shades of yellow were falling onto the ground, joggers and cyclists around the island. Definitely a perfect Sunday, strolling and seeing the amazing pieces on the island. From the War monument on one end of the island, the ruins of an old church in the middle and finish off by seeing the Well and Japanese garden at the other end of the island.

Overall a wonderful escape, I thirst for more sight seeing adventures! ^.^

Bikram Yoga

I decided to try this form of activity out. Why not, 20mins into Canary Wharf from work and there was the offer of £20 for 14days compared to £15 a lesson

So many forms of Yoga there are these days and I decided to try this form. Bikram is where you do Yoga positions in a heated room, bit like a sauna, helps to prevent injuring yourself in the hotter conditions, reduces stress and tension and of course helps the blood circulation.

My friend Lou and I popped in early to sign in and get ready; got our spot at the back we though, ok doesn't seem too busy, yet. As we were warming up and stretching; Lou and I watched in awe as one of the women was warming up she was streching everywhere, very flexi! Lou also told me the session was 90min.... I thought WHAT?! I thought's it was going to last 60min.... never in a yoga session. When the class started there was without a doubt over 30 people in the room >.<,

In the Class we did 20 poses 40min of it the teahcer said it was warm ups! In the last section of the class I was getting pretty worn out and getting fed up of repeating some of the positions, the heat really gets to you and the smell in the room... not the nicest especially when there's so many people in there! I think i was pretty much done after 75min of the class.

As the lesson finished people were warming down, I did a tiny bit and thought F**k it I'm hitting the shower! I was drenched in sweat!

Overall it is a good experience glad I tried it out; definitely doing it a bit more with my promotion going, just need to remeber to drink more water and own one of them Lycra sports tops, cotton vest is still good but wouldn't want this size of a garment drenched on me!

Back to partying!

As most people who know me, I am a character who enjoys being out and about partying, but recently I've been really quite and not partied!

On Saturday I decided to party out over to Shoreditch for Shabba's Magazine Launch party. My Big Bro was up in London for the weekend and  I was chatting to him and sayin how I haven't been out for quite a while. He replied back to me saying "7 days isn't a long time" (-.-") It's been Longer than 7days! More like 3weeks!!! Tiger Tiger wasn't even that fun!

So I partied out with a few friends, got in for Free fortunatley as my Mates housemate was Djing.

Drinks were mixed fun fun music was played a real variety of a crowd always is for a fashion party; I felt so small as many were in towering heels including some guys

Very good party, wanna party some more now but Holiday on the way!

The Inconvenience London Has for me

I know what you guys may think from my title, but what I find is inconvenient in London is the lack of Wilkos down North!

I know it may sound funny to you guys; since Uni, Wilkos has been a staple convenient store for me to shop at for all home essentials! Come on Even Bristol had quite a few stores around!

Check out this Map! they only seem to ben up around North & East London :(

As I was around East London with my friends after a Japanese class; they needed to pop over to Stratford's Wilkinsons to buy some bits. I thought why not tag along I may find bits I need; and guess what I did! house had a broken fold up basket we use for laundry, broke :( but happy! They had them in Stock sold individually & were only £2.25 each! ^.^

I will have to say I'm surprised Tooting doesn't have a Wilkinsons, plenty of pound stores, used to have a Woolworths but no Wilkinsons

I'm a bit sound & "Mo Liw"

Collaboration

Decided to make a bit of a change in the Blog of Layouts - Why not!

I can't wait Till November only Next Month (^.^)

Back in 2004 as I was back in College starting out training to be part of the fashion world; H&M did their first designer collaborations with Chanel's & Fendi's designer Karl Lagerfeld, year after came Stella McCartney, last year was Jimmy Choo - The design label collaboration with High Street brand.

Still  great design of clothes an accessories, just the cheaper alternative to the high end RTW that's usually £300+

I can't wait for this Year's collaboration with French Label Lanvin ^.^

Here's a teaser Promo of the behind the scenes

Hyper Japan

Over in the Truman Brewery in East London was a fun fun Festival event celebrating Japan's culture - Hyper Japan.

Quite a busy event many people coming to check it out, people dressed in Cos play, some of the girls did look Kawaii, I won't be surprised they took ages to do their make up!

Of course typical me & my friends were there of course to see what great food they had available; I couldn't say no to some freebie tastings! hehehee ^.^

Katsu Curries, sushi, Takoyaki, Yakitori, ice cream...... Ok I'm a food fiend I will admit ^.^ They even sold a variety of Japanese snacks, there was even a guy walking around with a basket selling too! But some of the things weren't the cheapest; probable alternative, Japan Centre or China Town.

This was an interesting experience of what Japanese culture is like, it's a shame the venue was small, some of the things were pretty expensive, especially the Lolita styled clothes... I could even make it!

The Pop up House

As it has been a week of not only London Fashion week but also the London Design Festival has come around as well.

I really wanted to check out this Pop Up House over in Berwick Street, as it was the last day of it and I wanted to check it out before it closed.

A very quirky little shop/ project from the House Collective with little shows, projections of small films, objects for sale and interactive Installations they even had a little fashion show

I decided to check out this interactive installation called “The Children of Modernity”. It was such a beautiful installation with a story we were escorted into a tent in the basement of the Pop Up House and in this ten had a lot of objects, and had a real cosy feel to it. The Story was about a woman who was born colour blind and rising from a swim in the lake, was able to see colour again. It was a bit of a treasure hunt to find the objects to fit the puzzle to carry on the story.

It was a very enjoyable exhibition I have to say can’t wait to check out what next this collective will bring ^.^

Fashion Week Has Landed

Fashion week has Landed over to London from New York!

Press, buyers, bloggers, socialites all come and gather to all these events checking out what potential things that will be for Spring Summer 2011.

I only had 4hours sleep from the night before after an event involving Shindig house warming party with Japanese chicken curry and mango poppy seed muffins courtesy from me (-^.^-) were yummy!

So Headed over to Somerset house in Central to meet up with my friend to Watch the Daks S/S 11 show for 9am... we got there about 8.45am, I left Limehouse at 7.50am.... Haven't set out quite this early in quite a while!!

So we checked out the first catwalk of the day:-

The collection was had minimalistic shapes keeping it nice and simple, soft and very wearable. The colour palette used was black, summer whites, Pale grey stone and a refreshing highlight of mustard, pallette inspiration was of India

Very enjoyable very ready to wear collection pleats, shorts, playsuits, minimal. I loved the large simple patch pockets on the garments too! ^.^

The Alternative Sunday

Sundays for me usually involve being out and about exploring around and catching up with friends (no Surprise there!) Some people enjoy the gathering and eating Dim Sum. This Sunday my friends and I decided to do Something different for a change.

Originally we wanted to go Bowling at the Queensway Alley, costing over £7 for an hour, screw that not worth it!

Instead we decided to hit the Lebanese/ Moroccan cafe across the road and go for a Shisha! I stick to my rule, I don't drink Alcohol on Sundays hehehe ^.^

I've had quite a few people think that I am a smoker, but honestly not really; I don't think I smoked a Shisha since my 22nd b'day.... very drunk & happy times of Bristol. Ahh the nostalgia. Of course apart from that form of smoking, weed only is smoked with friends once in a blue moon.

Making the the Shisha session Chinkified, what else than playing many rounds of card games especially "Big 2" and munching on oriental snacks from the Spar a few doors down! We were a bit loud on the street, but hey, why not create a happy atmosphere for us not in an ASBO way of course!

I will have to admit, 2 hour Shisha session, really fills the appetite up! I am also surprised I didn't have a husky voice from it, yay me!

The Wrath of London Transport

As many who dwell in London, they either suffered the same as me or were lucky enough to have the ability to work from home, but most Londoners Suffered the Wrath of The London Underground!

I know a long of people have been complaining about it today on FB statuses, Twitters and Newspapers and of course the bloggers

Many 1000s of people had to seek alternatives of getting in, bus, trains, boats, cars etc. I wish I was lucky enough to work from home; unfortunately I don’t have Citrix, boss wanted everyone to get into the office and my line of work as a garment tech, I need to measure the samples before they get sent to the customers – and the samples from the factories, of course get delivered into the office  -.-“

I had to mission on the Northern Line – wasn’t too bad until I hit Bank. It was rammed. I couldn’t change as the path to the other station was closed. Along the platform so many people wanted to take DLR of course to Canary Wharf, I was literally walking on the very edge of the platform making my way to the exit. I’m glad I’m not claustrophobic and if health and safety saw the amount of people through the tunnels making their way out, I’m sure they would have a heart attack

Even the bus from Monument to Whitechapel was long. Total journey to work 2hours! >.<”

It’s handy to know someone who works for TFL, was my personal TFL journey planner XD esp for my journey home!

21st Century Style of Religion

Sundays - the day of rest, day before back to office, family day; however you make your Sundays. I decided to join my friends to check out this event happening in the Apollo Theatre in Victoria, where they show the musical “Wicked”. Peggy was telling me that this is going to be an opera. I thought, why not give it a try as she said in her message it was called “Jesus the Rock Opera”

So as we went into the theatre, I couldn’t believe the venue was really packed in the stalls that is as the balcony was closed. I really didn’t know what I got myself to check out-it was actually Church but with a modern twist. They had a band performing on stage, playing and singing Christian rock songs, pretty catchy I must say, the Vicars didn’t look like the typical old man with the Roman collar, two men more modern preachers

Now this Opera, I was so mislead, it was more a musical! But the performances were pretty good, story of Jesus the disciples, Judas, the Romans and the Crucifixion in 60s dressed costume and modern songs Such as their on take of that’s not my name for Peter denying he knew Jesus, and a Jason Maraz cover, there were a few more but I forgot. I have to admit all those who took part in the performance did a really good job.

I can see why my friends attend The Hill Song Church; it’s quite enjoyable, compared to the traditional Church and singing old hymns with the Organ and having the Holy Communion and such, definitely more modern way of preaching.

This doesn’t make me convert; I will admit it was an interesting experience, but I’m not religious and it isn’t really my cup of tea, so this was a one off thing in the exploring for me this year.

Gig Up in Shoreditch House

ooh I admit being a bit slack in the Blogging for this post, Bank holiday back in the Shires, attempting to regain the Devon Twang completely winds you down, as the pace down hear is slower compared to the big smoke.

So on the Thursday Just gone, my work mate invited me to a spontaneous gig up in Shoreditch House, members only place can be full of celebrities and socialites. Membership annually costing £1000 pretty exclusive!

So anyway were popped down and ventured onto the 4th floor, "Biscuit Tin" room  where the gig was held. It was quite a nice environment very cosy Lounge like intimate place.

First band as we got there seemed not bad, front man/ Lead guitarist was wearing a pair of Leopard Leggings with tail; pretty interesting and different. Next band that came on, no idea who they were but oh my god, they were making some very ear bleed worthy music screechy electro noise, sounding like an out of this world electro collective, being tone deaf and having a session in a garage thinking it's beautiful music. Was happy they got off.

Next band came along called "Full English"quite interesting rap band mix N Dubz-like, now looking and reading about them, definitely have quite a Goldie Looking chain feel to they with the style of music; being catchy and has humour. This bad were pretty entertaining and easy to listen to especially in contrast to the previous band.

After Full English there was a woman all dressed in a red latex suit, pretty hot but not my choice of fabric. She seemed not bad but the music quality was very meh.

Here's a preview Below of what Full English were like, apologies, I don't know how to rotate the video!

Between this my friends & I wanted to hang out on the roof top bar where there was the roof top swimming pool; alas Bouncer said no.... Members only. Oh Well

Finally last but not least the band who we came to support, Johnny Lazer. Two piece band front man with a huge mohawk and Drummer, playing fun optimistic beats in the genre of electro rock,  very feel good music slowly brought the crowd back into the room

Shame I wish I could've stayed longer but had to leave after 3 tracks, last train home called and Night bussing from East to the South West is a mission!

Overall a good spontaneous gig that was free, and I tried out some pretty yummy organic honey ale! ^.^

Styles that may convert me to Leggings

As Some of you may know, I'm an anti leggings person, checked out on McQueen's online shop @ the sale left over, have to say some of the prints are pretty hot. But price tag is still a bit steep. (need to save monies towards Alexa bag)

The Staple garment for the Wardrobe

Ok So during the weekend I stayed around my friend's place over in East London, good old sleepover; we played Game of Life, Classic Board game quicker version of Monopoly and sang our hearts our with the 21st Century game of Sing Star, I'm proud to say the top scores for Lady Gaga's tunes are still doned by me ^.^ hehehe

The next day with as the girls were getting ready as they had a reservation for Marco Piere White's restaurant over in Battersea, Wendy's Brother was also getting ready and deciding what to wear. I thought I could be of assitance as I can stylize. My God, Danny doesn't have a lot in the wardrobe.

As we were deciding together, I suggested he'll need a shirt as the restaurant is high end, so best to dress smart casual; he only owns a smart black shirt from Ted Baker, not bad I have to say but nothing else? I asked him "what tee you thinking of wearing?" He didn't have a lot, majority of his T-shirts were placement prints with a cartoonish design.... I couldn't see any nice plain simple tees. So we sugessted together, the Yellow tee, goes well with the black shirt, adding brightness to something dark and the print can be hidden by buttoning up hiding the print.

Finally we hit the jeans. I asked him what jeans he was going to wear? Danny replied, "ones I'm wearing now." Mid blue slightly fading washed straight leg jeans. "Haven't you got any dark wash jeans?" I suggested, no was the reply. I had a bit of a heart attack.....

Surely like most women, we own that staple garment that's kept in the wardrobe, the LBD (Little Black Dress), Surely for a man, either a classic white shirt, but surely they must own a dark wash pair of jeans!! "WENDY! You need to take your brother shopping!!" Danny only shops during the sales but rarely shops for clothes and a broke student. If only I worked doing menswear as well and Denim, I would definitely donate a pair of dark wash jeans to him.

My days, no offence to you guys, I know some guys can be absolute lousy shoppers, but even the Average Joe (No pun intended for Nudie Jeans styled Denim) should have dark wash denim jeans doesn't even need to be black, stapled in the wardrobe, hand plant to the face....

Cinema Trends

So Summer is slowly fading.... sadness, we are still out and about, well thouse who have Summer holiday >.<" Lunchtime blogging the only time I can actually blog!

I have noticed this Summer's trend is the Big Screen that is the Cinema. Don't get what I mean, let me Explain:-

The cinema has been such an enjoyable day out, back in the days of the late 1800s people dressed up for the occasion. Bring on the 21st Century, film makers are making that cinema experience more enjoyable with the technology of 3D

Not only cinema experience, but even other novelties of going to the cinema

The beginning of the Summer there was the Urban Starlite Drive Through Cinema Novelty weekend which happened over in East London's Truman Brewery, Large cinema projections dipslayed all around, in parks pubs etc. Somerset House has been one I wanted to go experience, alas I forgot. There are just so many things to do in London you either, have not got the time to fit it or the funding situation! Not to mention the Secret Cinema, where they have the event somewhere spontaneous from a rooftop of a buildin to a farm

Something Noticed

One of my chilling out evenings and browsing on youtube, very inspired by the K pop music videos as I admit, these Koreans are shit hot dancers; however there is a major trend which is eww and WTF a they seem to do it at least once in a music video. This thing is touching their lips!!

Seriously they seem to do it A LOT! I was actually Mow liw enough to clock on and snap the evidence:-

Exhibit 1, Super Junior "Sorry Sorry"

I have funny memories of this song as friends rein-act the dance moves, I snapped on this touch lips things that goes on:-

There's possibly more, but I didn't catch on to it...

Exhibit 2, U Kiss "Bingeul Bingeul"

I've never really heard of this K pop boy band, but like any other, pretty boys who are pretty shit hot at dancing. I clocked in this video, they did the touching their lips movement twice, this song is up tempo and dance moves were really quick and busy!

Exhibit 3, Shinee's MV "Ring Ding Dong"

They're amazing dancers thanks to Roger, it's his assigned ringtone on my phone, they touch their lips quite a ridiculous amount in this MV!!!

I'm sure there are plenty more MV's where these boybands do this movement. After clocking on and realising they do this, I now can't help keeping the eagle eye of seeing it, my experience in seeing these videos has kind of been ruined!!! Sadness but hahaha!!
