December Disaters

Ooh, I’ve just realized I’ve not blogged for a while, it’s been a very busy December with work, weather and living not in the same place; here’s the anecdote

Birthday happened so was pretty merry and drunk of course, but a long with that, I’ve had to crash round friends placed as the bathroom was getting refurbished redone so needed a place to shower hair started getting quite greasy & brushing teeth in the kitchen made the neighbors have an interesting sight! Pretty much sucked, so usual routines had to change

Next off was week before Christmas, the other garment tech took off for Christmas holiday, so I had to man the fort >.<” It was very very tough and  stressful as there was so much to do getting everything sorted before Christmas, last minute fast orders sigh so much in the multitasking departments that I had to stay in the office till about 7pm to finish things

Well mainly work caused me to get the most stressed; factories in China pressuring to get things approved and get graded specs from me; because they want to get everything finished off before Chinese New Year as the factories close for 2weeks; a big impact on suppliers trying to maintain deadlines.

Then of course the weather caused an impact on me feeling quite pessimistic for Christmas, worrying about Dad’s Flight back to UK from HK and was rescheduled for the next day & he took some quite lucky turns. But as he came back home, Mum’s got this really bad lurgy causing her to cough really badly * sigh* so original plan of going to Midlands cancelled.

The question was – where should I spend my Xmas?? Had a ticket from London to Stafford & I also have a ticket for Exeter to London as original plan was going to be train to Midlands, car to Devon and Train back to London for NYE.

In the end chose Devon with the folks and hitched a lift with my Brother & Sister-in-law as hey were spending Xmas there, so good came out of things. I’m chilling out and completely slowed my pace down, feeling lost in the greenery/snow!

Hardware accessories

I am noticing the trend of hardware accessories. Not understanding what I mean?
Check out my pics!

Boxy hard waring Leather accessories, very vintage looking and quirky! I saw my friends bag from Urban Outfitters cost her a Tenner, what a bargain!

As it's also the Season of Christmas, a lot of the German markets are selling these quirky hard leather lockets in different shapes sizes and colours; however I brought mine when I was over in Budapest

What I really like about these style accessories is of course that they're pretty unique hard and heavy duty, won't get excessively battered compared to the usual bag! ^.^

Excuse the quality of the photos, new camera phone's quality isn't the best since it doesn't have a flash! So art of photoshop is used instead! haha!

The Quarter Life Crisis begins....

Well the morning of the thing called my Quarter life crisis started swimmingly..... leaving the station to the office, I slipped & fell on my arse..... Great start (!) I blame the slippery floors over my All Saints boots I usually wear a lot!!

Half day in the office and was a kid in the candy shop over the Nicholas Kirkwood sample sale in Swarovski in Central; excited over the many shoes prancing around the floor deciding which ones I likes, were my size & in my budget!

Fell in love.... with these gnarly F**ckers!!!

Spring Summer 2010's for New York's Rodarte collection heavy duty full of awesomeness such a fantasy shoe!!!! -^.^- I just <3 the details!!!

Flaw..... £400 in the sample sale! OK so RRP these would definitely have been on the £1000s zone overall over budget

Next found a pair of cute cut out shoe boots!

Quite the cute shoe. Very Acne style, but of course Kirkwoods as they're architectural! ^.^

Perfect for both evenings and everyday wear outs! Awesome saw the price code £150!! Seeing the sales Assistant, killed me saying they were £200 ( PK!!)

I really wanted these they're hot! Minus the ones above, so I talked to the woman in charge of sales asking to meet me in the middle & of course it's my b'day. So she agreed to sell them @ £175 to me! (^.^)

That's pretty much my years budget on sample sale shopping all gone! But on the good side I've kept away until today....

I did pick up a bargain! These shoes RRP £594, bargain investment, but it does mean these are my most expensive shoes in my collection

I'm a shoe nut

Very British of Britons

Well it's now December, Winter has definitely arrived to Capital and earlier than usual

It's interesting how Britons take pleasure in discussing the weather and they like to complain about it. True that it's a good ice breaker in the small talk department, and it is true that UK's weather is unpredictable; when it's sunny people love it or think it's just too hot, rainy too much water everyone gets soaked UK's know to have a lot of rain anyway especially up North- as one of my best friends winges about it to me pretty often

Now Britain has snow! The kids love it, adults are a bit of both but will still complain. The snow is a bit blown out of proportion, as discussing with friends over lunch today; London is very unprepared for these turns in weather conditions. Even in a city like New York, every year they get a fair bit of snow and they are able to handle it, public transport still runs even though at a slower pace but still running. Unlike the joys of the tube - Suspended, severe delays, opportunities in me claiming tube refunds by being late (though only managed to claim once)

Understandable for people these sudden weather conditions take affect to the everyday needs - shit happens

One of my friends even brought 6x bags of rock salt for the pavements of his home & shop, our friend even suggested using kitty litter as a substitute! That's just coaxing cats to come do their business around there! hahaha!

I think I've gone off track..... The weather's effecting me!
